Patrick obtained his MSc in Stem Cells and Regeneration from the University of Bristol in 2023. His research focussed on immune-mediated vascularisation of 3D bioprinted GelMA tissue constructs and was funded by New Harvest and Robert Downey Jr’s Footprint Coalition. He then obtained an internship with the cultivated meat CDMO Extracellular, working on serum-free media development and industrial-scale mammalian cell culture. Patrick joined the Armstrong Group as an MRes student in September 2024. He is developing a new approach to 3D print conduit grafts to treat pediatric congenital heart disease.
