Lance graduated in 2017 from the University of Bradford with a BSc in Biomedical Science. He subsequently joined the Singapore Nuclear Research and Safety Institute as a Research Assistant and then as a Research Associate, where he worked to understand the biological effects of low-dose ionising radiation. In March 2026, he joined the Armstrong Group on a PhD scholarship awarded by the Singapore Nuclear Research and Safety Institute. His doctoral research centres on developing a cardiac model to investigate the mechanisms underlying radiation-associated cardiovascular disease.
