Youbohong obtained both his BSc and MSc degrees in Civil Engineering from Zhejiang University. During his master’s studies, he focused on the application of biomass-based eco-friendly materials in construction, specifically investigating their performance in noise control and floor vibration mitigation. He joined the Department of Aerospace Engineering at the University of Bristol in September 2024 as a PhD student through the China Scholarship Council – University of Bristol (CSC-UoB) joint scholarship scheme. His doctoral research is focused on the development of new sustainable materials for vibration damping applications.
